Job Description

Briefly describe the role of your group SDS
To build a unified infrastructure that supports Enterprise Reporting Applications primarily build with the data obtained from Siebel Application.

Solutions built on Siebel Application
Dataware Housing
Facilitation and coordination of strategic Reporting Architectural initiatives that are focused on Enterprise Groups long-term goal
Enterprise Reporting Infrastructure
Build/Configure tools for Enterprise Reporting
The primary role of the person is to involve in
Job Responsibilities and Deliverables
This person will be required to partner very closely with Redmond team in all phases of the project to define architecture, performance and maintainability of applications. Strong problem solving and good communications skills are a must.
Create Procedural or platform interface around Siebel for Reporting. Design and implement application using SQL Server and expose it to the users using Reporting tools.
Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team for design and delivery of Reporting Applications.
Very high focus on status reporting and maintaining strong relationships with on site and Redmond team are required.
Strong technical computer science or engineering background is required;
Good written and oral communication skills required. ·
Sound problem resolution and judgment. Experience in enterprise Applicaiton, distributed systems and a general knowledge of security concepts and technologies is strongly preferred.
Ability to learn appropriate technologies and being able to derive personal motivation with assigned responsibilities is highly desirable.

Education and Experience
6-10 years experience in related fields required.
Strong programming skills in relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies required.
Good understanding of SDLC methodology.

1. SQL Programming skills
2. Writing Store Procedures, Triggers, Views, UDFs
3. Different Index and it’s usage
4. SQL Performance Tuning skills
5. Constraints, Data Types
Good knowledge in
6. DTS (Diff. Tasks, using Variables, Lookup tables)
7. Data transfer and scripting tools (e.g., bcp, osql, Bulk Insert, OpenRowset)
8. Cursors, Locks, Isolation Levels
9. XML (For XML, OpenXML, )
Overall knowledge in
10. Physical & Logical Database structure
11. Replication
12. Optimization for OLTP vs OLAP
13. Different elements of SQL Server (like Indexed Views, Federated Server, Distributed Query etc)
Nice to have
14. Data Warehousing Concepts (SQL Analysis Server)
15. SQL Server Reporting Services
16. Database Backup & Recovery
