PROJECT SUMMARY & POSITION OVERVIEW:
The individual filling this position is responsible for the analysis, design, development and maintenance of production software systems for the financial services market. These products include a set of software programs and platforms based in Microsoft DNA and .NET Technology that are used for the display and analysis of financial reference information and real-time data.
ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on new web based product development. The position will design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement software for our companies virtual webcasting platform using technologies such as C#, .Net framework, ASP, SQL, XML, XSLT, Visual Basic and COM/COM+.
Responsibilities:
? Design, Architect and Develop new software
? Manage projects and see them through to completion
? Mentor junior developers
SHIFT RESOURCE WILL WORK:
1 - occasional off-shift deployment activity is required.
PERCENTAGE OF WORK THAT IS DEVELOPMENT VS. MAINTENANCE:

Qualifications
Education :
4 year technical degree
5 years relevant technical experience
Required Skills :
Software development - 5 years
Microsoft technologies; .NET, C#, ASP.Net, XML/XSLT - 3 years
RDBMS - 5 years
Internet applications - 4 years
DESIRED Skills :
? Technical degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years professional software development experience is required.
? Comprehensive development experience with Microsoft server technologies, including Windows 2000/2003 systems, C#, .Net framework, ASP, T-SQL, XML and XSLT using MSXML, Visual Basic, COM/COM+.
? Must have object-oriented design and development experience.
? Strong skills in general software architecture, software development methodology, inter-personal communication, mentoring, and leadership are required.
? Ability to collaborate with product management and marketing teams to architect solutions that meet all requirements.
? Experience working in the financial industry is a plus.
