Job Description
The Technical Manager will be directly involved in interacting with the US development, managers on the product release projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of a team of software developers and engineers who are directly involved with product development projects for software releases. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively manage several projects concurrently, and communicate progress and risks to the US management team.
ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Manager will also be expected to bring a breadth of Development and Managerial experience and best practices to the company including:
Software Development Lifecycle
Microsoft Development Standards
Creating Project Plans
Communicating Project progress and risk to Management
Implementing process improvements in the technical department
Attending Project Meetings both locally and in the US
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified hardship to the company.
Required Skills (MUST HAVE) & associated number of years OF EXPERIENCE:
9 years of Technical Management experience
Must have full understanding of Development processes and product development life cycle
Requires 8+ years Windows expertise (NT/2000/XP) and experience with MS SQL Server
Experience working with defect tracking systems and MS Project
Beneficial to have experience with XML\XSL, Mercury Interactive’s Product Suite, MS Visual Studio
Effective and Proactive Communication Skills
Highly Self-motivated and energetic
Education and NECESSARY INDUSTRY Experience:
Requires BSCS or equivalent
