- Technical/Functional Skills: - Strong knowledge of OOD principles, with ability to map them to language of choice (VC++, C++ etc..)
- Proven Online development experience using J2EE along with Desktop exp.
- Ability to work with diverse platforms and describe interoperability paths between platforms and technologies (Web services, COM/COM+, XML/XSLT, SQL, Message Queues, SOAP, etc...)
- System integration & web app development and deployment experience is plus
- Experience with TSP/PSP and/or Agile methodologies is a plus.
- UML and Use of enterprise design tools is preferred.
- User interface-oriented design and development experience - BS or MS in Computer Science or related field - 10 - 15yrs of software industry experience - 5+ years of experience with C++/VC++ object oriented language and atleast 2-3 exp in J2EE.
- Test driven development and knowledge of test automation frameworks a plus.. - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Experience driving engineering and cross-functional teams. - "Self-starter" attitude and the ability to make decisions independently. - Understanding of accounting needs of small to medium sized businesses is a plus.
- Hands on experience on Java is a plus. Team/Leadership skills: - Collaborates effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience. - Effectively arbitrates and resolves technological disagreement with informed, rational debate. - Leads cross-functional product development teams. - Mentors/coaches engineers to facilitate their development. - Influences development managers to insure appropriate levels of quality on owned technologies. - Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business management.
