PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Product Development Manager (PDM) for Product Development organization. Based in Hyderabad, the PDM will be responsible for the entire product development function in India. This includes resource management, technical leadership, communication and coordination with US based team members. Product Development includes the development, quality assurance and release process to the US Team. Most design work will be done by the US Team and some in India.
The successful PDM will be an experienced manager and mentor with a track record of focused operational excellence. Managing to targeted product development metrics while building high-quality products based on repeatable processes is the key to success in this role. In addition, given the high growth nature of this particular business, recruiting, organizational and people management skills will be critical. The PDM is a demanding role for an energetic person who seeks to hold high standards and drive a dynamic workplace. . The role is recommended for an individual who can manage a growing organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and maintain an understanding of all aspects of business: company vision, mission, values, business objectives, economic drivers, organizational structure, and culture.
• Possess business acumen and strong analytical skills. Use this knowledge to ensure that product development processes are aligned to business objectives and company culture.
• Delivers quality set of software utilizing his or her team and US based resources.
• Knowledge of foodservice POS or the Hospitality industry.
• Personnel and organizational management including talent management, leadership development and performance management.
• Perform trend and performance analysis and make recommendations/drive change based upon the same.
• Proven management and leadership skills-ability to inspire and motivate a team. Positive, can-do attitude a must.
• Exceptional communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
• Strong technical background or proven track-record managing technical resources through all phases of software development including concurrent priorites, conflicting priorities, tight timelines and changing client needs
• Significant C# experience
• Significant .NET experience
• C++
• SQL Serve RDBMS
• Active reports
• Multi-tiered application development
• Proven, strong software development background in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Use of multiple development methodologies with specific experience with Agile methodologies
• 6-12 years technical experience
• 3+ years managing a technical team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Masters a plus).
