Job Description
We are conducting WALK-IN Interviews for SQL DE’s from 19th Jan to 2nd Feb 2008, between 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, except on the Republic Day and Sundays.
Job Title: Sql Design Engineer/ System Analyst
Location: Chennai
Experience:3+ to 8 yrs of IT Experience in MS SQL Sever Database design
Qualification: BE/B.Tech/MCA/ M.Sc IT
Purpose of the Role: Analyze and interpret software specifications with the objective of translating them into a High Level Design within the framework of the project plan.
Job Description
Apply systems analysis and design techniques to complex applications/systems
Recommend optimum approach and develop system design
Evaluate and analyze processes and support for systems and applications
Recognize probable conflicts and integrate diverse data sources
Contribute to process re-design and automation by designing and implementing custom software solutions built on a foundation of best-of-breed technologies. Install, configure, and customize system software and devices
Responsibilities
Should be able to write / test / update code and design to develop database objects and queries
Should be able to write stored procedures / functions and parameterized queries
Should be able to research, investigate and evaluate potential database solutions to business problems / requirements
Should be able to maintain detailed unit test designs to establish the order in which data is processed
Query optimization and performance tuning
In-depth product knowledge in SQL Server 2000/2005
Should be sound in analytical and logical thinking
Serve as a project assistant in the management and deployment of software solutions
Technical Skills
Back-end coding skills in MS SQL Server 2000/2005
Test Plan, Test Cases, Code - Walkthrough
SDLC, RDBMS Concepts,OOAD, Muti-tier Architecture
Schema design, Database design skills/Design methodology - ERWin
Change request process and impact analysis
Application Architecture, Datamodeling
Configuration management
Application documents - documentation skills
Query Optimization and performance tuning skills
