Job Description
SENIOR CONSULTANTDesign, Vision and Scope, Strategy and Technical Documents Accountable for maintaining a high degree of solution architecture and design capability with deep technical skills in one or more of the streams mentioned in the Areas of Expertise Section below. Deliver engagements as technical subject matter expert or as a team member on medium sized projects AND lead other consultants and partners
Understand customer environment and define business requirements with engagement and practice managers§ Develop architectural/functional design document based on existing examples or new requirementsMap product solution and technical information to customer’s context; Conduct informal risk analysis Create local prototype, or proof of concept, to test
solutionUnderstanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the designed/developed solution§ Deliver engagements as an individual contributor, technical subject matter expert or as a team member on small projectsOn-going Advice (Knowledge Transfer) to the Customer and Partners§ Build knowledge base and gather best practices on technology, products, business processes, and the industry
Respond to customers’ needs, initiate contacts and conduct meetings (with internal clients)Programming Code
Assess technical document or request to determine need to develop code; Write or modify programming code, where necessary
Unit test to assure meets requirements, including integration test as needed Review and peer test other consultants’ workPeople Management and leadership Individual and team status reports to the Engagement Manager.
Assist/mentor others in meeting their professional development plans.Take leadership in technical initiatives at the subsidiary level.
Technical leadership on engagements that include other consultants or partners Provide technical mentoring and development to consultants in related technical communities§ Leadership on internal technical initiativesLead subject area communities and develops subject matter expertsOther eports to Engagement Manager
