Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining, enhancing and developing and supporting applications and technology solutions which have been deployed in the US.
·Responsible for ensuring that all application development efforts meet and or exceed client expectations. Applications should meet requirements of scope, functionality, time, and adhere to all defined and agreed upon standards.
·Responsible for developing technical requirements and communicating the technical solution to the project team.
·Responsible for conducting effective requirement planning sessions and application design sessions with cross functional groups.
· Responsible for leading and directing the efforts of small teams of developers
·Becomes intimately familiar with all assigned application and technology functionality.
·Becomes intimately familiar with all development tools, testing tools, methodologies, and processes.
· Becomes intimately familiar the project management methodology and processes.
· Ensures successful development and application support strategy is implemented.
· Encourages collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members.
· Demonstrates a working understanding of both quality assurance and software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers, and project team members.
· Demonstrates a strong working understanding of industry best standards in software development and version controlling.
·Ensures the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
· Works as a senior team member under the direction of the Application Manager or Assistant Manager.
· Will assist the Application Manager or Assistant Manager with project team duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Graduate or undergraduate degree in a computer related field.
· 4+ years experience in structured development environment with a formal SDLC methodology.
· 4+ years experience developing, maintaining, enhancing, supporting web based applications in an n-tiered environment.
· 3+ years experience designing application development solutions, testing, code versioning and implementation.
· Key applications development and technology experience should include: OOD/OOA, UML, Javascript, HTML/DHTML, and at least one of the following Microsoft development languages (Visual Basic, C#, VBScript).
· Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is required.
· Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is desired.
· Other technologies desired are: Microsoft DNA and .Net frameworks, ActiveX, ASP/ASP.Net, ADO/ADO.Net, MS SQL/T-SQL, COM/DCOM/COM+.
· Java and SAP knowledge may be a plus.
