Javascript doubt (urgent)

im getting the following error. I have mentioned the correct form name and elements but still ...
parent.document.forms(...) is null or not an object in javascript

This error occurs when that elemnt is not found.Right click on the page and select view source.
Check wether the name used in javascript and html page matches.Sometimes the name of the element changes after page is rendered.
