    How to resolve error while run asp.net project in IIS


    Are you looking for a way to resolve error while run asp.net project in IIS ? then read this thread to know more about it



    This page contains the following errors:

    error on line 1 at column 2: StartTag: invalid element name

    have you checked the syntax of the file that the element is correct.

    Please check that it is not a dock type error or missing syntax.

    sir if never convert as a dll file it run .i convert it it never run. it show the error

    kindly check all these points and process it again then

    1. Make sure it works in your local web server.
    2. ASP.net is installed properly in IIS. if yes, make sure it is selected.
    3. Confirm that virtual directory is configured properly.
    4. if still issue try to install aspnet again C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\<netversion>\aspnet_regiis.exe

    Could you please make sure that you have given permissions to the website folder . Try doing iisreset using visual studio command prompt
