    Changes in Reward programs

dotnetspider.com recently completed 10 years! During one decade of existence, we helped numerous people learn .NET and achieve success in their career.

We have been offering a lot of reward programs, including iPad, Digital cameras, .NET books, certificates, revenue share bonus and so on. Congratulations to all those who have won prizes from us.

Many of our reputed authors started their own blogs. Due to tight competition from our fellow bloggers and competitors, our traffic and revenue has been significantly reduced. In fact, what we earn currently is just 10% of what we have been earning a few years ago. Even though the traffic in our site hasn't gone down too much, the revenue has gone down a lot since tech people rarely click on Ads and hence we don't get much income.

For last few years, we have been using our revenue from our other websites to give rewards to our best authors in DNS. Unfortunately, the online revenue has gone down in our other websites as well.

We are forced to take an unpleasant decision to stop some of our reward programs. We will continue to offer some rewards for our top authors every month.

All current reward programs are stopped with immediate effect.
We will have a few new reward programs, which will be announced shortly.

If you have any suggestions on how to reward the top authors, please post your comments below.

    Hi Tony,

We understand the situation as well described. We will continue contributing and try to get back to earlier stage.

Request all members to keep contributing.

@Tony, however you can not share cash credit and other physical gifts but continue the certificate and award programs which are adding starts for many members on their resume and community.

Said to hear. It really doesn't matter what award we got from dotnetspider, what matter is, "THE NEW THINGS WE LEARNED". Really, dotnetspider has teach me much, i got many awrads from DNS till date and most amazingly i got Microsoft MVP due to only dotndetspider and it shows the quality of DNS.
I wish best luck to DNS in future endeavor, we will really try hard and contribute more to get the DNS "GOLDEN DAYS" back.

    @Tony (webmaster)
We can switch off the cash credit awards and other physical awards like books, alternatively we can continue Editor, MVM and weekly certification awards it will really help us to get out from the 'CONDITION'. (Later on we can rethink to start them again)
Softcopies will really boost the people to contribute more and more
we can have following awards (Prize is appreciation certificate)
    - Member of the week over all contribution (which is ruuning now)
    - Member of the Bst forum support weekly (which is ruuning now)
    - Member of the Month for fourm support
    - Member of the Month Category wise (C#, Asp.net, VB.NET)
    - Author of the month (which is ruuning now)

    Thanks

Rewards are not a matter but after join in DNS, my confidence level and my knowledge also improved. Now, that's the reason i'm able to manage one hole project in my current organization. We understood the problem and i try to contribute my self in the same manner and will try to improve my knowledge and share my thoughts with others too.

This site really helpful for me.I learn lot of concept and help from this website..

Thanks for who are the people to connect with this site.

Rewards are secondary compared to the knowledge I will get from this site. Though at time, some financial rewards might help to alleviate certain situations of life but knowledge is the ultimate in everything and I will appreciate it if members can continue to post resources so that newbie like me can learn and be able to stand on my feet.

    Hi Tony sir.

As you mentioned in your words
"since tech people rarely click on Ads" is the main reason for reducing revenue for DNS.

My request is to take some initiatives which will make DNS authors, DNS members and readers to participate actively to increase traffic.

Once if we gain momentum, later on we can accelerate and get back to consistent position as earlier.

    Thanks.
