Does jQuery mobile works without HTML5

Im new to jQuery mobile. I have a doubt that does the mobiles which support html supports jQuery mobile

Hi,
Obviously mobiles which supports html will support jquery. It will support at the Level C.

(Level A means full support. Level B means intermediate support. Level C is Basic HTML support)

You didnt get my question exactly.. Im asking about the mobile jquery. Not about only jquery..
