How to prepare good resume?

What are the contents make a effective resumes? Is there any standard font family and font size used to create resume? How many pages maximum? I'm a MCA fresher.

You reume should be short and clear. Include your Academic details Include your Project details elaborately Include all your achievements include you personal and contact details clearly

Hai Surender, As you are fresher MCA, so you need to add your academics, your hobbies, strengths etc to your resume as they add value to the resume and there is less important to the technology till you are fresher. Search in the Naukri.Com for the fresher's resume and prepare accordingly. Hope it will be helpful to you. Hi, Your resume should contain the following things: 1> at header part : your name ; cell number ; email id 2> your objective : it should be sweet and simple. 3> Your qualifications details in tabular form which is easiler to understand for the anyone when he / she is reading for the first time. 4> Any technical details which contains the UI language or OS language you know. 5> Any certification list ( if you have completed / in process). 6> your strong points / stengths. 7> your hobbies. 8> Your complete address. Hai Surendar, First of all, the format of the resume depends on the level of experience. If you are fresher, your resume format will be different than the experience level resume. You can go to the job sites and search for the resume as per your experience level and you can get many resume. After that you can choose as per your understanding. I think this will be good idea. Hi Surendar, For impressive resume , start of the resume and end of the resume should be perfect. You can write about your strength , total experience or if you are fresher then write about your last year's project/ internship details. Do not forget to write your contact details , professional summary , date of birth etc Project description should include your current role/responsibilities , technology used , tools used ,total duration of the project.
