Hi.
As per my understanding certifications play important role in getting good opportunity but without practical knowledge, just getting certification for the sake of getting job does not seem useful if we talk in terms of long. So first , make sure your basics are good, and then try to be practically good in any technology wherever you want to make your career. After all these you should go for certifications which will help you to make your career bright and fruitful.
Now-a-days MCP,MCAD have great demand.

Hi,
You can try certification with WCF and C# since many webservice projects are getting converted to WCF. If you complete certificate in that part, it will be added advantage for you.

All is well.
Thanks,

Hai Surender,
As you are fresher so i think it not required for you to go with any certifications. First you need to learn the technologies and then after getting some experience, you can write the certifications exams for the technology.
There are many certifications which you can write if you are choosing the Microsoft technologies.
Hope it will be helpful to you.

Hi,
For freshers , certifications always help in their careers because most of the clients prefer candidates those are certified resources. It will also help you in enhancing your skillset. According to me , if you choose microsoft then go for microsoft certification application developer , or MCPD etc.
If you choose java then get certified by SUN technologies. If you choose oracle then get certified as OCP. Try to be conceptually correct so that passing of certifications will not be difficult.
All the best!

Regards,
Prachi.
