Validation for Unit Dimension eg. 5x6x7

I need validation for Unit Dimension

For Eg: LxBxH 5x6x7 ( which takes only two x and 3 numbers besides 2 x)
DxH 4x7 ( which takes only one x and 2 numbers besides x)


i need both server side validation and client side validation(javascript).
Please help me how to do it
