    Attach an editor in as aspx page

    hi friends

    i am creating a signupform wherein there is a text are where by the user on the click of the text area he enters an editor and so what ever he types in the editor will be back in the textarea so how to do it...what editor to have...how to invoke the editor...


    can anyone help me..

    i know that there r lots of editors available i dont know how to invoke them throught an aspx page i mean to say

    on the click of a button in an aspx page i need the editor to open so how to do it...

    you just open that editor in a jquery popup and then after click on the ok button of the jquery popup set the value of that editor into your text area.

    If you can use third party control in your project then its very easy. Download Telerik controls. It has a RadEditor contorl which you can use directly by dragging and dropping.

    i have downloaded it..and using the editor from the toolkit...

    You can use AjaxControlToolkit's HTMLEditor control, if you are using Visual Studio 2008.

    You may also use TinyMCE HTML Editor, which is a WYSIWYG Editor developed in JavaScript. It is an Open Source, Platform independent tool which has lot of features.
