Posted Date: 08 Feb 2010      Posted By:: Manoj     Member Level: Bronze    Member Rank: 2066     Points: 1   Responses: 2

I was trying to make a client WCF application. For this i need to execute following command from the Windows SDK command prompt:
svcutil.exe <URL>

The exact location of svcutil.exe is :
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bin

But i am not able to find out how to execute command from command Prompt.
Any type of help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Manoj Garg.

Thanx buddies,

i got the answer:
For above command to execute, we need to execute command by changing the directory from
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC>
to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bin>

Thanks & Regards,
Manoj Garg.

Hi,

Click Start-> Programs->Microsoft Visual Studio 2008-> Visual Studio Tools->Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt

Then You execute the SVCUtil.exe command.

Regards,

Viji.
