Cannot open user default database. login failed.

HI ,
I am using sql server 2000 database, In which I am getting error like this
cannot open user default database. login failed.
When ever my perticular databse is opening,Other databases are opening normally by username and password ,So plz tel what is the problem?

You will get this error when someone changes the default database to a different one and you don't have sufficient privilege to access the same.

Go to Enterprise manager--> Database-->security-->Login
and see what is the default database for the user id you are using.

Refer attached scren shot for more details.

yes ,i checked in login default is master only .Even though i am getting same error .
Actually local system databases are opening properly ,while opening remote server by username & password displaying error.
