Unable to access the argument in IE8

I am lauching modal window from parent page as below.

....
onclick="javascript: Args[0] = objDoc.selectSingleNode('//Security'); Args[1] = buildSecurityTable ;Args[2] =null;modal('New.aspx','800','900');" value="Add Security" />
...

new pop-up is opened, their i am accessing the Args Arguments as
var variableNode=opener.Args[0] in New.aspx page.

I'm able to load perfectly the "Node" which contains in the opener.Args[0] in IE7, but i am facing problem in IE8.

what is the way to access this node in IE8. Please help in this issue...

let me know if any more info is required..

hi,

This is regarding compatability issuee. In tool menu u will find the compatability view sites options. Now a popup will open in that u will find the add tab. you type your url in that text box and press add tab. ur url will be added in that.

I think this might solve your problem

Hi prasad,

there is a common problem with Java Script, I think if you will use Hack for (access node in IE8) the IE8 then you will not face this problem again or if it possible the change your script.

Just Use this where you want to close "window.close();"
