InfoPath is a tool used to design simple forms. This forms can be used to Get inputs from user. There is not much coding needed. It is very simple when we are working with simple filling forms.

hi ramesh goudd
Infopath is XML based form... so when u deploy the infopath form in sharepoint site then it can be opened in browser itself... unlike others (MS word and Excel in MS office) there is no need for MS Office to be installed in client machine ....
so u can make any registrations pages and other things in infopath itself...
i think this will give u an idea of infopath in Sharepoint
