huge database takes time to retrieve in Datagrid

I have more than 30,000 records in my database.
while retrieving these records in datalist or datagrid takes lots of time to display. for datalist it gives timeout error.

Hi,

I you appling pagination for the grid try to use pagination in the

SQL SERVER by using ROWNUMBER
