How to Get window.event for Firefox browser?

Hi,
Here i give the Example..

var obj=window.event;
alert(obj);

I want to get window event in javascript. when i run my application in IE obj returns a value in object. But when i run my application in Firefox obj returns undefined.. Can anyone help me..

Hi,

Try this

//distinguish between IE's explicit event object (window.event) and Firefox's implicit.

var evtobj=window.event? event : e
