storing image into databse

iam using richtextbox control in my windows application.
when iam formatting text with Bold,Underline etc.... and saving it as text in database,then while retrieving it is losing its formatted things.
so that i think it should save it as image,but how to convert string to bytes array
plssssss help me soon.....

create a table field with image datatype in sql server.
u can retrieve the image by ashx file.
