how to read excel sheet data using Java script

Hi All,

I am working in net 1.1 with sql server. In my project we are uploading annexures file and all validations are done by server side. Its getting heavy load. So i need to do validations in client side itself.

So is there any way to read excel sheet using java script. its very urgent.. Please help me out.

var newwindow=window.open("url of .xls","window2","");
