Hi All,

I have an windows application,i have creates msi file of it and installed on my PC,Now i have made some changes to same application and built it..
If i try to install it, am getting error like "another version is already installed, please uninstall previous version and install the new version".
Is there any possibility that i can replace the older version exe without uninstalling.....

Please give any references or examples,

Hi,

That you cannot do.you need to uninstall the old version from control panel--> and and remove programs and then you need to uninstall the previous version of the Application and then only you can install the new one.

The product version is same for the Old and new version. if we cahange the Product key then you can install the new application without uninstallaing the old version.

Regards
JK
