How to select the record using HyperLink

Hi Guys

I am created one GridView that shows all the Employee Records.For Editing I am use select button that goes to DetailsView Edit page for that particular Record Selected in the GridView,But I want to provide this function to my Name field,Suppose if I click the Firstname in the GridView that goes to that DetailView Edit for the particular Firstname Employee ,ie,Rather than select button I want to use the name field ....How to do Please give any sample code.....

In grid view use edit button for editing row in the gridview
u can write ur own code in the row edit event of gridview
