There are few points related to .net certifications:--------
1.MCSD:
Exam info:----: Many of the exams in this certification track retire in March 2009. You must successfully fulfill all listed requirements to complete the credential. The credential will not expire.

Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft .NET candidates should have two years of experience developing and maintaining solutions and applications. MCSD for Microsoft .NET candidates are required to pass four core exams and one elective exam
Candidates who use Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 should consider pursuing the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) credentials. These credentials give developers a simpler and more targeted framework to display their technical skills and their ability to develop rich solutions that meet business needs.
