convert .dae file into .3ds file

Hi ,
Is there any one who can help me in working with google sketchup files (.dae files)and convert these files into 3d files using Fcollada libraries?

or

possible steps to follow to do this?

I am a lamen in this.So,please help me in getting a solution.
