Silver Light is a cross-browser, cross-platform technology. It runs in all popular Web browsers, like MS IE,Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari, and on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X.
Installing silver light is very simple and it takes few minutes to install.
It streams video and audio very fastly over the web.
It includes very rich graphics. Games can be developed so easily using silverlight, with which users can Play the games,drag, turn, zoom—directly on any browser.
It can interact with the DB, read data , update the content of page, but it doesn't interrupt the user by refreshing the whole page many a times.
Silver light is a Microsoft way of implimentation to repalce all that Flash can do and lot more things which can't be done using Flash.

It can run only on VS2008. Install VS2008 first then install the Silver light.

Flash is Adobe technolgy,but silver light is microsoft technolgy using silverlight desings,frames all flash featurs are applicble here.
silver light is possible to run 3.5 only vs 2008
